Wiley, Effie (Marriage - 29 Dec 1908)

At the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Wiley, in this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), Tuesday Dec. 29, 1908, at 5 p.m., was solemnized the marriage of their daughter, Effie, to Alfred Kristianson, of Withee, Clark County. At the appointed hour Rev. J. B. Bachman pronounce the ceremony in a most beautiful impressive manner. At the close congratulations were extended, after which a bountiful supper was served, and the wedded pair took their departure for Minneapolis on the eight o'clock train for a short wedding trip, and upon their return will reside at Withee.

Mr. and Mrs. Kristianson are both too well known to need any introduction to the people here. Mrs. Kristianson was born here, and has the respect and esteem of all. Mr. Kristianson, while a resident of our neighboring city of Withee, has a wide acquaintance here and is admired for his good qualities. It is a pleasure to chronicle the marriage of such worthy young people and this paper wafts to them its warmest congratulations.
