Mr & Mrs. W.L. Parkhill had a son March 13th.

John Heagle sold some property to John Schultz.

Geo Burke sold the P. Cronin home to Arthur Steele.

Herman Grupp and his family left for Eugene, Oregon will they will live.

Egbert Mead bought a gasoline engine to use on his farm.

L. Bruno saw 2 large eagle eating on a carcass on his farm.

Mr & Mrs. Henry Frese had a daughter last Sunday.

Mr & Mrs. John Klasinski had a daughter last Saturday.

75 YEARS AGO...

N.P. Hansen returned from Racine where his mother passed away.

Jos. Tobola unloaded his first carload of "Star Cars".

The following were entertained by Vivian Geiger on March 10th: Mrs. J. Asselin Jr, her daughter Eunice and her Sunday school class of June Maed, Ruth Stookey, Bernice Cordes, Ruth Thielke, Helen Boardman, Bernice Briggs, Pearl Gurholt, and Dorothy Glasshof.

Helmar Carl Wold who was born on March 3, 1893, died in Worden on March 13th.

50 YEARS AGO...

Mr & Mrs. Ed. Bonk (former Ruth Haas) had a son on March 5th.

Mr & Mrs. Willis Couillard of Waukegan, IL had a daughter on March 4th. She is the former Kathryn Creaser.

Arthur William Sischo, age 85 of Greenwood, died Sunday.

Mr & Mrs. Paul Potopenko Jr, had a son on March 6th in Chippewa Falls.

Mr & Mrs. Milton Sromek had twin girls on March 7th in Stanley.

Mr & Mrs. Harley Swim Jr had a son.

Mr & Mrs. James Maricle and family moved to Florida.

Mr & Mrs. Ervin Benzschawel had a son on Wednesday.

25 YEARS AGO...

Ted Nowak, age 45, die din Chicago on Sunday evening.

Mr. Floyd Hanley released the top 10 students at Thorp High School:Allan Wojt, Michael Amundson, Peter Baehr, Tom Morgan, mark Osowski, Carol Niedzwicki, Kathy Walczyk, Jill Kluesner, Patricia Kowieski and Erik Salander.

Oconto Jaycees elected Ann M. Grajkowski as Oconto County’s Outstanding Young Educator of 1976.

Genieve Julia Czech, age 68, died at Chippewa Falls on March 13th.

Mr & Mrs. James Briski had a daughter on March 11th.

Edwin Roe, age 86, died March 13th in Stanley.

Marine Private John A. Lust, age 18, graduated from recruit training in San Diego.

10 YEARS AGO...

Mr & Mrs. Dean Baures had a son on march 4th.

Gordon Oler and Judy Ogurek were wed Feb. 2nd in the Virgin Islands.

Joy Burkholder participated in a local speaking contest on Feb. 19th.

William Kuepper announced the UWGB academic honors and one of the collegians was Hope Szymanski.

Honor roll students of UW-Oshkosh from Thorp were Linda Boden and Hennifer Luptak.

Deborah Hempleman and Richard Hanson were wed Feb 16th in Eau Claire.

Allen & Renee Marek and a daughter on March 8th.

Rocky & Rebecca Aken had a son on March 11th.

Steve & Ladena Kmieciak had a daughter on March 11th.

Jeffrey and Karen Endvick had a daughter.

David & Penny Buss had a son.

Lucille Neal, age 82 of Morgan Plaza, died March 12th in Stanley.

Antoinette Ann Rose, age 76 died March 11th in Stanley.

Edna Marquardt, age 56 of Kenosha, died Thursday.
