Courier (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 06/10/1915 Henderson, Mary R.
(17 Jan 1847 - 7 JUN 1915) Mrs. John
Henderson died at her home in this village (Thorp, Clark County,
Wis.) at an early hour on Monday, June 7, 1915, after a brief
illness of less than two days duration, hemorrhage being the cause
which speedily hastened the end. Mary Rosina Pickett was born at
Wauwatosa, Milwaukee Co., Wis. on Jan. 17, 1847, and moved to
Hortonville, Outagamie Co., with her parents, where she grew to
womanhood. In 1881 she came to Thorp with her husband, and with the
exception of about two years spent on a farm near Sheldon, has
since resided here. Among us all she ranked always as a woman of
culture, refinement, sympathy, a kind neighbor, devoted mother and
true friend, and withal a woman of heroic mould in bravely meeting
the stern requirements and often the disappointments in life. She
leaves to mourn, a sorrow stricken husband, Mr. John Henderson, and
two children, E. C. Barigo of Concordia, Kansas, a son by a former
husband, and Mrs. John Ambrose of Stevens Point, also one brother,
S. S. Pickett of Kingston, Wash., and one sister, Mrs. Anna
Brazelton who resided her with her. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
