Harper, Fred B. (7 MAY 1898 - 4 Sep 1918)

The news of the death of Fred B. Harper has recently been confirmed. The young man was killed in action on Sept. 4, 1918. He was born in Richland Co., Wis., on May 7, 1898, and came to Thorp, Clark County, Wis. with his parents sixteen years ago. He was a young man, genial and kind and loved by all who knew him. He enlisted in Co. B. at Stanley on April 28, 1917, and sailed for France April 5, 1918. He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Harper of the town of Worden, two brothers and four sisters.
