Grap, Terri Nan (Engagement - 1980)

Recently announcing the engagement of their daughter, Terri Nan were Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Grap, Jr., Rt. 3, Neillsville. Terri is betrothed to Steven Lewandowski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lewandowski, Rt. 3 Thorp. Terri is a 1977 graduate of Neillsville High School and from Western Wisconsin Technical Institute in La Crosse in 1979. She is now employed as an accountant for Pranges in Green Bay. Steve is a 1976 graduate of Thorp High and from District I Technical Institute in Eau Claire in 1978 and from WWTI in 1980 and is now employed as a bio-medical electronics technician at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Green Bay. An April 4 wedding date has been set.

Grap, Terri Nan (4 April 1981)

The Rev. Norman Lindloff officiated at the wedding of Terri Nan Grap and Steven Joseph Lewandowski in ceremonies at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville on Saturday afternoon, April 4.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Grap, Jr., of Rt. 3 Neillsville. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lewandowski, Rt. 3 Thorp.

Serving as maid of honor was Kerri Grap, a sister of the bride from Neillsville. She was joined by Sherri Donahue, the bride’s sister from Neillsville, Christy Larue, a friend of the bride from La Crescent, Minnesota; and Gail Borowski, the groom’s sister from Manito, Illinois.

Bestman was Gary Lewandowski, the groom’s brother from Thorp. He was joined by Perry Grap, the bride’s brother from Neillsville; and Wayne and John Lewandowski, the groom’s brothers from Thorp. Ushering were John Donahue, the bride’s brother-in-law of Neillsville; Richard Soborowicz, the groom’s uncle of Eau Claire; and Kevin Lewandowski, the groom’s brother of Thorp.

Michael Donahue, the bride’s nephew from Neillsville was ringbearer. Stacey Borowski, the groom’s niece from Manito, Illinois, was flower girl. Both were dressed identically to the bride and groom.

“Oh, Perfect Love” and “The Lord’s Prayer” were musical selections offered by Robert Mitte, JoAnn Ruzic and Paul Tess.

The bride chose a gown of organza-over-taffeta completed by a lace princess collar, pearl and sequin embroidered V-neckline; full skirt with a matching front panel, chapel-length train and bishop sleeves. She carried a spray of burgundy and white carnations intermingled with a dozen sweetheart roses. Her attendants wore gowns featuring strapped bodices, pink pleated lace-over-taffeta skirts, burgundy velvet-trimmed and pine laced jackets. The maid of honor carried a burgundy parasol while others in the party had pink parasols. Each also wore a wrist corsage of pink carnations and red roses.

The groom was attired in a silver tailed tuxedo with white ruffled shirt and silver bow tie.; his attendants wore similar tuxedos but with burgundy ruffled shirts.

Following the wedding ceremony, a dinner was held at the church school with a reception and dance later held at the Loyal American Legion Hall. Prenuptial events included a rehearsal dinner at the home of the groom’s parents.

The couple will be making their home in Green Bay. The new Mrs. Lewandowski is a 1977 graduate of Western Wisconsin Technical Institute (WWTI) of La Crosse and now is employed as an accountant for Prange’s of Green Bay. Her husband is a 1976 graduate of Thorp High School and in 1978 from District I Technical School in Eau Claire and in 1980 from WWTI. He is now a biomedical electronics technician for St. Vincent’s Hospital of Green Bay.

Guests from out-of-town at the wedding included friends and relatives from Thorp, Granton, Stratford, Greenwood, Loyal, Humbird, Marshfield, La Crosse, Milwaukee, Whitewater, Green Bay, Jackson, Kenosha, Friendship, Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Manitowoc and Watertown; East Point, Georgia; Chicago, Rockford and Manito, Illinois; Minneapolis, Rochester and La Crescent, Minnesota; and Selina, Kansas.

Sunday dinner and afternoon guests at the Frederick Grap, Jr., home were Ann Sladek, Mr./Mrs. Steve Tichy, Mr./Mrs. Fritz Grap, Sr., Mr./Mrs. Gary Ruzic & Karen and Gary Anding, all of Neillsville. Joining them were Mr./Mrs. Leroy Billings, East Point, Ga.; Keith and Bob Billings & daughter and Mr./Mrs. Eugene Romos and family, all of Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Andy Dasko, Chicago; Mrs. Bob Tichy & family and Erick Hansen & family, of Marshfield; Mr./Mrs. Charles Tichy, La Crosse; Mr./Mrs. Donald Sladek, Granton; Mr./Mrs. Clarence Huettenrauch and family, Milwaukee; Mr./Mrs. Marvin Grap, Rockford, Il.; Mr./Mrs. John Donahue & family; and the newlyweds, Mr./Mrs. Steve Lewandowski.
