A case of assault with intent to kill, came up before Esquire Groesbeck, on Wednesday, Henry Gathers the defendant and Mr. Boine the complaining witness. Gathers was held for trial, with bail fixed at $800. Being unable to raise it, he dodged the officers before the commitment could be made out, and made his escape. He has not yet been recaptured.
