Brian Liazuk

Brian Allen Liazuk, 27, Gilman, WI died December 10, 2001, in Taylor County, the Town of Cleveland, Chippewa Road (Campground).

Brian was born on April 10, 1974, in Medford, WI the son of Gary and Rita (Oberle) Liazuk. He grew up in Gilman, WI, attending Gilman schools graduating from Gilman High School in 1991. He worked for Weather Shield in Medford, WI for four years, for the last five years for Wisconsin Central/Canadian National Railroad. Brian enjoyed snowmobiling, softball, bowling and punk music.

He is survived by his parents: Gary (Butch) and Rita Liazuk of Gilman, brother Eric of Eau Claire attending UWEC and friend Angie Kemerer attending UW River Falls. Grandmothers: Rose Liazuk and Imogene Oberle both of Gilman, WI; Aunts and Uncles: on his mother’s side: Richard (Friend Sue) of Marshfield, Wi, Carol (Mel) Brenner of Waterloo, Iowa, Arla (Bob) Rains of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Mary (Bill) Mauerer of Richfield, WI, Fran Prasnicki of Gilman, Earl (Terri) Oberle of Gilman, WI, Bernie (Pat) Oberle of Cadott, WI, Lois (Allen) Tietyen of Franklin, WI, Anita (Jim) Mnichowicz of Lublin, WI, Bonnie Lumley of Gilman, WI, Donna (Tom) Schmitt of Gilman and Randy Oberle of Gilman, WI. Aunts and Uncles on father’s side: Bob (Penny) Liazuk of Sauk Village, IL, Ellen Liazuk and friend Rita of Oaklawn, IL, Diane (Jon) Hillstead of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Jayne Kaczmarcik of Middleton, WI, Carolyn (Allen) Siok of Gilman, WI and Bruce and Nancy Liazuk of Medford, WI.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stanley Liazuk and Leo Oberle and uncles: David Oberle, Dennis Oberle and Rodney Liazuk.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 13, 2001, 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Gilman, WI with Father Philip Juza officiating. Visitation was held on Wednesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Parish Vigil service at the Gilman Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Dan Johnson, Jason Siok, Jason Weir, Mike Schley and Jim and Jon Gassenbauer. Honorary pallbearers will be: Eric Liazuk, Steve Nernburger, Kevin Webster and Fred Krawontka.
