Carver, Levi (2 AUG 1846 - 16 OCT 1911)

Levi Carver, whose death occurred Monday, Oct. 16, 1911, was born in the town of Hebron, Jefferson Co., Wis., Aug. 2, 1846.

He enlisted in Co. C., 40th Wis. Inf., serving about a year. He was an engineer by trade and during his two years residence in this city (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.), he was employed by the Electric Light & Power Co.

He leaves a wife, one daughter and four sons, Myrtle Flemming of Atkinson, Neb., Elmer of Vancouver, Wash., William of Mauston, Frank and Ellis of Chicago.

His funeral was held at the M. E. Church last Thursday afternoon, Rev. E. Harris officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery. (Mauston Star)

The deceased at one time was a resident of this village and is well known here (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.).
