Renne, Hiram W. (12 Sep 1839 - 29 Sep 1920)

Hiram W. Renne of the town of Sherman, Clark County, Wis., died at his home, Sept. 29, 1920. Deceased was born in St. Lawrence Co., N.Y., Sep 12, 1839 and at the time of his death was 87 years and 17 days of age.

He was one of the oldest settlers of Clark County, Wis., coming here in 1859 with his brother Charles and settling at the place where Granton now stands. About 36 years ago he sold his place at Granton and moved to the home he resided on until his death.

He leaves to mourn his loss, one brother, E. S. Renne of Wis. Rapids and one sister, Mrs. W. G. Nason of Nasonville, five sons and one daughter, Harry and Curtis of the town of Sherman, Wilson of Superior, John of Hartford, Clyde M. of Wis. Rapids and Mrs. Alex McFavish of Nasonville.

Mr. Renne was a public-spirited man, always lending his assistance and using his influence in every good move for the benefit of the community in general.

The funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 2. Interment was in Granton.
