TRIBUNE (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) 07/03/1919 Slocum, Julia A.
(Marriage - 25 JUN 1919) A quiet but very
pretty wedding took place on Wednesday evening June 25, 1919, when
Miss Julia A. Slocum became the bride of Mr. Percy Vincent. The
ceremony was performed by Rev. E. E. Strevey at nine o'clock at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Slocum. The bride was attired in a
lovely gown of white net over white silk and carried a bridal
bouquet of pink and white carnations. They were attended
by Miss Ella Dickert as bridesmaid and Mr. Theodore Slinkerd as
groomsman. The house was
prettily decorated for the occasion with ferns and roses. Following the
marriage ceremony a fine wedding supper was served to the relatives
and friends. The bride is the
only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Slocum. She is a graduate of
our local high school and is a most highly esteemed young lady who
has many friends in this vicinity (Clark County, Wis.). she has
been a successful teacher for the past two years in the rural
schools of the county. The groom, although a stranger to us, is
highly spoken of. The young couple
will be at home on the groom's farm near Neillsville. The Tribune
extends congratulations. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
