Rites Set Today for Edward G. Hasseldick, Age 84;

A former county resident, E. G. Hasseldick, living in retirement at Wisconsin Rapids, died Monday at Riverview hospital, Wisconsin Rapids, where he had been a patient for a few days. He was eighty-four years old.

Funeral services will be conducted in Medford at the Hemer funeral home, at 2 p.m. today, Thursday. Rev. Clem Dozer, pastor of United Methodist church, will officiate. Internment will take place in Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. Hasseldick was born November 14, 1893 in town of Mayville, Clark county, and attended the town of Deer Creek schools. He married Hedwig Suter, took place April 14, 1920 at Medford. She died March 25, 1963.

For a brief time, he operated a barber shop in Stetsonville before moving to Browning, Wisconsin to farm until 1946. The couple then lived just six months in Medford before relocating to Colby where they farmed until their retirement in 1958. Mr. Hasseldick had been living in Wisconsin Rapids since that time.

Survivors include his son, Wayne, Stetsonville; two daughters: Vivian, Mrs. Bruno Mankowski, Yucca Valley, Calif., and Mrs. Ethel Konczak, Milwaukee; a brother, Ray, Colby, and three grandchildren.

His daughter and four siblings (2 sisters & 2 brothers) also preceded him in death.
