Wilke, Brian E. (29 FEB 1960 - 26 DEC 2001)

Brian E. Wilke, 41, Greenwood, Clark County, Wis., died on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood. The Rev. Teri Blomberg officiated. Pallbearers were Dave Reuter, Joe Reuter, Ken Erickson, Eugene Saule, Gary Wilke and Terry Laube. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Brian Edward Wilke was born on Feb. 29, 1960, in Rockford, Ill., to Virgil and Ellen (nee Worstell) Wilke. He attended school in Granton. He entered the U. S. Army in 1978. He farmed with his father in the town of Lynn and then worked at Barr Animal Foods. He operated the Critter and Fish Shop in Loyal and later moved the shop to his home. His interests included hunting, fishing and his birds, fish and iguanas.

Survivors include a daughter, Faith Wilke, Greenwood; his fiancé, Tammy Webb, Greenwood; his parents, Virgil and Ellen Wilke, Chili; two sisters, Brenda (Dave) Reuter, Greenwood, and Merlea (tom) Ator, Washington; three brothers, Gary (Nancy) Wilke, Spencer, Arlyn Wilke, Spencer, James (Roxanne) Wilke, Marshfield; a brother-in-law, Timothy Jasmer, Withee; his grandmother, Thelma Worstell, Rockford, Ill.; nieces and nephews, Alex Drinka, Ashley and Tyler Mohr, Tara and Andy Jasmer, and Eric and Matthew Long; and other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Otto and Nina Wilke and Harley Worstell, and a sister, Barbara Jasmer, in 1994.
