Lucille Polzin dies Sunday; services end with burial in Town of Hewett
Mrs. Alvin (Lucille F.) Polzin, 61, a longtime Town of Hewett farmwife, passed away at Neillsville Memorial Hospital on Sunday morning, January 23, afer a brief illness.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon, January 26, from the Neillsville Assembly of God with Rev. Lloyd Hohn officiating. Burial was made in the Town of Hewett Cemetery; the Gesche Funeral Home of Neillsville was in charge of the arrangements.
The deceased was born on May 3,1921, in Racine to Emil and Mary (Merkle) Bucholz. She received her education in that city and then worked there. On March 11,1944, she married Alvin A. Polzin in Racine ceremonies; the couple then moved to the Neillsville area where they farmed in the Town of Hewett for many years. Upon retirement, they continued to live on the home farm.
Surviving her, besides her husband, are four sons, Jerry, Warren and Roger, all of Neillsville, and Calvin of Marshfield; and four daughters, Mrs. David (Barbara) Millerman of Barron, Bonnie Polzin of Mineapolis and Mrs. Frederick (Donna) Wagner and Linda Polzin, both of Neillsville. Joinging them are four sisters, Mrs. Mary Borglin and Mrs. Walter (Teresa) Pach, both of Racine, Mrs. Lillian Hall of Kenosha and Mrs. Herbert (Rita) Lietze of Phoenix,Arizon; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
