Beaver, Mamie M. (Marriage - 27 NOV 1920)

A very pretty wedding ceremony was solemnized last Saturday morning, Nov. 27, 1920, at Zion Lutheran Church, this city (Colby, Wis.), when Miss Mamie Meta Beaver became the bride of Mr. Henry F. Schauss, Rev. Hartenstein officiating.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, Mr. Charles Beaver, was becomingly gowned in a dress of white silk crepe de chine and wore a bridal veil embroidered with beads. She carried a bridal bouquet of carnations and chrysanthemums. The Misses Anna Wiedenhoeft and Olga Voge acted as bridesmaids, Miss Wiedenhoeft wearing a gown of blue satin and Miss Voge wore orange satin.

The groom was attended by Messrs. Ed Nixdorf and Charles Beaver. Little Miss Leona Lemburg of Appleton and Anna Beaver were the flower girls and carried baskets of carnations and chrysanthemums.

After the ceremony at the church a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents and was followed by a reception and dance in the afternoon and evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Schauss will make their home with the groom’s mother, Mrs. F. Schauss.

Those from out of the city who attended the wedding were, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lemburg, Appleton; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schauss, Spirit Lake; Rich Schauss, Rib Lake; a. Nixdorf and family, Dorchester; and Mrs. Neuman and son of Phillips.
