Colby -- Winners in the various events during Colby Cheese Days have been announced.

Amy Schultz was named Colby Cheese Days princess, with Becky Boehr first runner-up.

Winners of the cheese eating contest were Tom Kaute, Loyal, and Perry Demler, Colby.

Tug-of-war winners in the women's division were Medford Plastics and Town and Country. Men's division winners were Buckhorn and Town and Country Bar.

Receiving the top award for parade entries was the Hornets Drum and Bugle Corps, Chicago.

Colby Cheese Run division winners in the six-mile event, first and second respectively in the men's division, were: High School, Jeff Rachu, Colby and Ed Kingsbury, Neillsville; Open, Dennis Kotcon, Neillsville, and Doug Riske, and Masters, Barry Brubaker, Stratford, and Church Runnoe, Abbotsford.

Women's division winners in the six-mile run were: High School, Angela Hall and Rhonda Retterath, both of Edgar; Open, Julene Bach, Dorchester, and Cheryl Goodman, Madison; and Masters, Mary Lynn Kretchman, Marshfield, and Marie Ruvolo, Milwaukee,

Two-mile run winners for the men were: Youth, Gary Zuelke, Stratford, and Perry Demlen, Colby; Open, Jack Arnold, Colby and Neal Schumacher, Dorchester; and Master, Jim Reel, Wausau and Rod Hawks, Curtiss.

Women's division winners were: Youth, Kathy Anason and Carol Kingsbury, both of Neillsville; Open, Sue Meer, Colby and Jenny Kingsbury, Neillsville; and Masters, Margaret Brubaker, Stratford, and Inge Hawks, Curtiss.

Tractor pull winners, first and second respectively, were:

Class A, 4,400 pounds: Tom Weyer, Greenwood; Paul Weyer, Loyal.

Class B, 5,750 pounds: Steve Taylor, Abbotsford, and Brian Frome, Colby.

Class C, 7,000 pounds: Ken Geiger, Dorchester; Steve Taylor, Abbotsford.

Class C Turbo:Kent Palmerton, Unity; Duane Kuehn, Neillsville.

Class D, 9,000 pounds: Ted Symbol, Stanley; Paul Rueth, Loyal.

Class D Turbo: Duane Kuehn, Neillsville; Kevin Lynn, Unity.

Class E, 11,00 pounds: Gerald Bunkleman, Milan; Paul Rueth, Loyal.

Class E Turbo: George Rau, Athens; Greg Lynn, Unity.

Class F: Lynn Farms, Unity; Bill Raster, Stetsonville.

Superstock 5,500 pounds: Tom Loos, Loyal; Wayne Krueger.

Superstock 7,500: Tom Loos, Jeff Martyn.

Trophies were awarded.
