Daines, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Daines, formerly of this
city (Colby, Wis.), but now located at Dorchester, Clark County,
Wis., was married to James Erickson, son of Mrs. Mary Erickson, on
Tuesday, June 29, 1926, by Justice of the Peace Charles Ouimette at
Abbotsford. Miss Katherine Erickson acted as bridesmaid and Miss
Mildred Daines as maid of honor. The groom was attended by Louis
Erickson and Clifford Daines. The bride was
beautifully attired in a dress of peach georgette over satin with a
picture hat to match and carried a bouquet of roses and lilies of
the valley. The bridesmaid wore a dress of rose color crepe de
chine with a corsage of roses. The maid of honor wore a dress of
palmelta green georgette with a corsage of roses. A wedding
reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, the home
being nicely decorated in pink and white for the occasion. In the
afternoon the wedding party autoed to Colby and had their picture
taken at the Lukowicz studio. After a wedding
trip to Milwaukee, Racine and other cities in southern Wisconsin,
the newlyweds will be at home July 10th, at the groom's farm in
Dorchester. The bride is well
known to the people of Colby and vicinity who with her a long and
happy married life. The groom is one of the substantial farmers of
