Under the new owners Mr. Alex Sires is employed as manager, and everybody knows Alex can keep a hotel in good shape. When you go to Merrillan, just try a meal at the Blair House.

Before my dad died he had tried telling me about some of you in the pictures but there wasnt enough time, so anything at all would be helpfull as I dont even know where to begin. thankyou Angela Rene Purkis

Re: Obit: Purkis, Clyde A. (1902 - 1973)

My maiden name is Purkis and am related to all these people. I was looking up Frank Purkis for my father and saw this notice. Carol Mitte is the daughter of Clyde Purkis, Jr., and has a lot of the family history. You can contact her at If that is not her current e-mail address, please contact me again and my father has her phone number. We could probably get the two of you in touch with each other. Cindy Tighe

Good luck, Cindy
