(Marriage - 4 NOV 1927) Gertrude A. Quist,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Quist, was married to George H.
Kowalk, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Kowalk, Friday, Nov. 4, 1927,
at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rev. Kirchhoefer officiating.
Gladys V. Quist acted as bridesmaid and Mabel E. Kowalk as maid of
honor. The groom was attended by Herbert Schwoco and Otto
Kowalk. The bridesmaid
wore a dress of white charmeuse trimmed with lace and carried a
bouquet of pink and white roses and lilies of the valley. The
bridesmaid wore a dress of green flat crepe and carried a bouquet
of roses and carnations. The maid of honor was attired in a dress
of copper leaf back satin and carried a bouquet of roses and
carnations. A wedding
reception was given at the home of the bride's parents, the home
being nicely decorated with white crepe paper and copper leaf for
the occasion. In the evening, a free wedding dance was given at
Cherokee Hall, which was largely attended. The groom is
employed at Detroit, Mich., where the newlyweds will make their
future home. They have many friends in this locality who extend
