OBITUARY

Mr. Leo Schlichter was born in the town of Cleveland, Jackson county, on Jan. 6, 1893. At the age of 21 he married Miss Martha Hovland of Northfield. For one year after their marriage they lived at the home of her parents and he was then employed as cheesemaker in Humbird, Hixton and Fairchild respectively. The last five years were spent in Fairchild. He leaves a wife and seven children, the oldest one of whom is twelve years of age and the youngest one being three years.

Mr. Schlichter leaves to mourn his loss the following: Mrs. Leo. Schlichter and children; Mrs. Ida Hardke of Elgin, Minn; John Schlichter of Birch Island, B.C.; Henry Schlicter of Seattle, Wash.; Lloyd Schlichter of the town of Cleveland; Fred Schlichter of the town of Cleveland; Raymond Schlichter of Marshfield; Carrie Schlichter, Orlando, Florida; Frank Schlichter of Marshfield; Clarence Schlichter of Seattle, Wash,; Anna Schlichter of Fairchild; also father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schlichter. He also leaves many other relatives to mourn his loss.

The funeral was held from St. Joseph church at Fairview, Monday, Oct. 4, The Rev. Father Raschke officiating.

Those from out of town who came to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. John Schlichter of Antigo, Mrs. Kathryn Schuffer and daughter Lorraine of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Ebin Ketchpaw and daughter Hope of Greenwood, Mrs. Peter Seecyler of Bloomer and Father, Mr. Burkhard, of Eau Claire, Mrs. Frank Piere and Mrs. Anna Schlichter and daughter Fern of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. James Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Yeager and daughter Alfa of Hixton, Mrs. Lewis Hardke of Elgin, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hovland of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Olson of Merrillan, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Olson of Merrillan, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schlicther and Mr. Raymond Schlichter of Marshfield, Miss Carrie Schlichter of Orlando, Florida, and Mrs. Margaret McKeen of Chicago.
