I am tracking my greadgrandfather Nelson Cook. He worked for Rust Owen Lumber company in the late 1800's early 1900's. In the fall of the year after the ground froze he would walk to the rail head east of Mankato and take a Train to Beaver Dam, Wisconin where he would work as a woods boss during the winter. I would like to find out how long he did this and if there are any records I could research.
