Voss, Olga (Marriage - 20 JUN 1928)
A very pretty wedding was solemnized at 7:30 o'clock Wednesday evening at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church at Manawa, Wis., when Miss Olga Voss of that village became the bride of Irvin Fecker, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Fecker of Colby, Wis. The ceremony was performed in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends by the Rev. A. E. Yager of the town of Big Falls.
Miss Clara Voss of Manawa, sister of the bride, and Miss Helen Jeske of Appleton, were bridesmaids and Ervin Koll of Appleton and Louis Prill of Manawa the groomsmen.
The bride wore a beaded georgette frock of white and a veil of silk net arranged in coronet effect. Her flowers were an arm bouquet of sweet peas and snapdragons. The bridesmaids were attired in frocks of orchid and pale pink georgette and wore corsage bouquets of sweet peas and larkspur and snapdragons.
The little flower girls, Victoria Voss and Sylvia Jensen, wore dresses of ruffled crepe de chine and carried baskets of sweet peas and rosebuds.
Immediately following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Voss, and later dancing was enjoyed by the guests. The house was decorated with long streamers of pink blue and white.
Mr. and Mrs. Fecker are spending their honeymoon at the Northern Lakes and upon their return, June 25, will reside at 722 North Water St., New London, Wis.
Guests from out of town at the wedding were the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Fecker and son, Harry, and Robert Heppner of Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Barkey and daughters, Emmie and Gene of Gillett, Mr. and Mrs. August Koll and son Ervin of Appleton, and the following from New London: Mr. and Mrs. Leo Ritchie, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Specht, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Voss and daughter, Violet, and Miss Helen Jeske of Milwaukee.
The groom is well and favorably known to many of this community and his many friends extend congratulations and good wishes for a long and happy life.
