Phonograph (Colby, Wis.) 11/08/1928 George, Marianne
(Marriage - 2 NOV 1928) A very quiet
wedding took place at Unity Friday afternoon, Nov. 2, 1928, at five
o'clock, when Miss Marianne George, daughter of Mrs. Addie George,
became the bride of John Carr, son of John Carr, Sr. Rev. Fahlgren
pronounced the ceremony in a most impressive manner. Berneitta
Riplinger acted as bridesmaid and the groom was attended by Billy
George. The bride was
attired in a beautiful dress of Ataenia satin crepe and carried a
bouquet of white and lavender chrysanthemums. The bridesmaid wore a
dress of tan georgette and also carried a bouquet of
chrysanthemums. Immediately after
the marriage ceremony, the bridal party repaired to the bride's
home, where a wedding reception was held for immediate
relatives. The newlyweds will
make their home on the R. C. Hunt farm, where the groom is
employed. Both the bride and
groom are well and favorably known to the people of Colby, Wis. and
vicinity, who extend best wishes. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
