ENTERPRISE (Owen, Clark County, Wis.) 07/20/1917 Olson, Georgia
(Marriage - 12 Jul 1917) This morning at
five o'clock a very pretty but quiet wedding took place at the home
of Dr. and Mrs. A. L. Ridgman, when their daughter, Mrs. Georgia
Olson and Charles E. Briere were united in marriage, Rev. R. J.
Locke officiating. The witnesses at the wedding were the bride's
parents and Mrs. A. Madsen of Port Edwards. The bride wore a very
pretty blue traveling suit. Following the ceremony the newlyweds
left for Yellowstone National Park, stopping at Marshfield for
breakfast. They are making the trip in the groom's auto, carrying
with them a tent, camping kit and everything necessary to make
their trip a pleasant one. They intend to camp out most of the
time. From Yellowstone National Park they will go to Seattle to
visit with Mr. Briere's sister. They will also
tour the coast and into California, returning by way of the
southern route. They expect to be gone about six weeks. (Grand
Rapids Leader of July 12, 1917) The bride is well
known in Owen, Clark County, Wis., because she was a teacher at one
time in our public schools, later becoming the wife of the late
Ludwig Olson. The Enterprise joins the many friends of the newly
married couple in congratulations and best wishes for their
future. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
