She was married to Robert Eggett in 1866. They came to Canada in 1883 and to Wisconsin in 1884 locating on a farm 3 miles southeast of Greenwood. Here they cleared and built a home, enduring many hardships of the early pioneers.

Mr. Eggett died in 1915 and a few years later Mrs. Eggett moved to Texas where she and her daughter have resided.

Mrs. Eggett, after an illness of only a few days, passed away January 28, 1927.

Mrs. Eggett was a woman of rare character, being of a reserved and conservative disposition, a sincere and earnest Christian and a faithful friend and mother.

A family of five children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Eggett. Johnnie having died in 1902 and William in 1905. Those left to mourn are George Eggett of Marshfield, Wisconsin, and Alfred and Minnie of Enoch’s, Texas. Though from our midst this one

To another land has gone

Fond memories will remain

Until we meet again.
