Erickson, Oscar (27 Mar 1884 - 29 JUN 1922)

Oscar Erickson, aged 38 years, 3 months and 2 days, died at the Wesley Memorial Hospital at Chicago, Thursday, June 29, 1922, after an illness extending over a period from April until his death.

Mr. Erickson is a son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. L. N. Christensen of this city, and in his numerous visits here he became quite well acquainted with local people, all of who found in him a perfect gentleman and a man of many fine qualities.

He was stricken with abscess of the brain, after submitting to two operations in hope that his life might be spared. He was a resident of Highland Park, Ill., where he and his wife were living, he being an employee of the street railway company there as a motorman. His body was accompanied by his wife and sister and her husband, and arrived here Saturday evening, the funeral services were held from the Christensen home at 1:30 Sunday afternoon and services at the Congregational Church at 2 o'clock. Burial was made in the Riverside Cemetery.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, one sister, Mrs. Strand of Chicago, his parents, two sisters and one brother, who reside in Sweden.

The bereaved relatives have the sincere heartfelt sympathy of their many friends here and away in the passing of Mr. Erickson.
