Jones, Emma E. (13 JUN 1852 - 8 Mar 1924)

Mrs. Emma E. Jones, the wife of Mr. John Jones, after a brief illness, passed away at Owen, Clark County, Wis., on Saturday, March 8, 1924, at the age of 71 years and 9 months.

She was born in the State of New York, June 13, 1852, and was married to Mr. Jones 56 years ago.

She came with her husband from the State of New York to Hancock, Wis. in 1873, and moved to Owen in the year 1902.

She was a member of the Owen Congregational Church and also belonged to the Home Department and the W. C. T. U.

The funeral was held from the Congregational Church, Rev. W. H. Sargent conducting the services. She was laid to rest at the Riverside Cemetery.

She leaves to mourn her loss a husband, 3 sons and one daughter, Mr. John Jones of Mosinee, Wis., Mr. Fred Jones of Stevens Point, Mr. George Jones of Detroit, Mich. and Mrs. C. G. Holman of Leadville, Col., also a brother, William Richmeyer of Tomahawk, Wis., and a sister, Mrs. May Maunders of Stevens Point, and a number of grandchildren.
