Townsend, Mrs. Charles (Feb 1879 - 30 Aug 1924)

Mrs. Charles Townsend, a resident of the town of Maplehurst, Taylor Co. for the past twenty-four years, passed away at her home Saturday morning at the age of forty-five years and six months. She was taken suddenly ill Saturday morning at about nine o'clock, suffering with a stroke of paralysis, and at noon had passed away. She was one of the pioneer women of that vicinity, and was well liked by all who knew her. Funeral services were held Tuesday from the home, Rev. Bauer of Curtiss, Clark County, Wis. officiating. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and three sisters. Burial took place in the Maplehurst Cemetery.
