Brandt, Martha E. (Marriage - 8 JUN 1927)

A pretty church wedding was solemnized last Wednesday afternoon, June 8, 1927, at the Greenwood Reformed Church, when Martha E. Brandt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Brandt of Withee, Clark County, Wis., and Elmer C. Meyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Meyer of Greenwood, Clark County, were united in marriage by Rev. Pfeiffer of Greenwood.

The bride wore a beautiful flat crepe dress of two-tone colors, of mosaic and queen blue, carrying a pretty bouquet of pink and white roses and lilies of the valley. The maid of honor, Miss Viola Brandt, sister of the bride, wore a flat crepe dress of queen blue, carrying a bouquet of pink and white carnations and snapdragons. Gilbert A. Meyer, brother of the groom, and Emil W. Niemi, acted as groomsmen.

On entering the church, the witnesses were followed by the bride and groom, while Miss Ruth Noetzel of Greenwood, assisted in playing the wedding march.

Following the ceremony all departed to the home of the bride's parents, where a bountiful nine o'clock wedding dinner was served to all. The dining room and table were prettily decorated with blue and white crepe paper and a profusion of flowers.

In the evening a wedding dance was given for the near friends and relatives at the Black River Park. Refreshments were served after the dance at the home of the bride's parents.

Many beautiful and useful gifts were received by the young couple, and all join in wishing them a long and happy wedded life.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Meyer will be at home to their many friends at the home of the groom's parents at Greenwood, after June 25th.
