Johnson, John T. (4 Mar 1850 - 27 Mar 1928)

John T. Johnson, a resident of this city (Owen, Clark County, Wis.) for thirty-six years, died at the hospital at Ladysmith on Tuesday of last week, at which place he had gone to seek relief from cancer of the stomach, three weeks before.

Mr. Johnson had been employed in the mill of the John S. Owen Lumber Co. since the mill began operations here, up until about a year ago, when he resigned to go to Hawkins, where he since has made his home with his son, Fred.

He seemed to enjoy good health, except for his declining years, and at the time of his death was seventy-eight years of age. His wife preceded him in death about four years ago, since which time he has made his home with his son, Anton, of this city.

His body was brought here after death for burial and funeral services, which took place Wednesday afternoon from the Congregational Church, Rev. W. P. Powell officiating, and burial took place in Riverside Cemetery.

Left to mourn are four sons, Fred and Albert Johnson of Hawkins, Anton and Julius Johnson of this city, and one daughter, Mrs. George Sisco of Curtiss.
