Mrs. James Christie died Sep. 14, 1910, at Superior where she had undergone an operation two days before for goiter. The remains were brought here for burial, the funeral taking place at York Center church Friday afternoon, Rev. N. F. Chatman officiating. Deceased whose maiden name was Mary McKimm was born in Canada, April 5, 1860. She came to Clark county with her parents about 36 years ago. On May 7, 1884, she was married to James Christie in Neillsville. For some years their home has been at Lake Nebagman in the north part of the state. Besides her husband, she leaves one son, Floyd; also her aged mother, two brothers, Joseph McKimm of York, and James McKimm who lives in Canada; three sisters, Mrs. C. A. Acker of Whitehall, Mrs. Samuel Christie of Eaton and Mrs. Ed Begley of York. She was a woman who was loved by all who knew her, and her old friends here severely mourn her death.
