Westergaard, Jennie (1873? - 1948)
Mrs. Jennie Westergaard, 75, widow of Peter Westergaard, Owen, Clark County, Wis., was put to her final resting place at the Lake View Cemetery, Eau Claire, Monday afternoon when final rites were conducted from the Lenmark Funeral Home, with the Rev. L. C. Bundgaard of Withee reading the ceremony.
Pallbearers were: H. S. Madsen, J. P. Madsen, R. E. Gabriel, Jens Smith, Andrew Smith, Sr., Owen, and Thorvald Ammentorp, Withee.
Mrs. O. A. Ammentorp, Withee, was the organist at the service, while Mrs. Viggo hansen, Withee, was the vocalist.
For the past several years, Mrs. Westergaard's health had been failing. Ever since last fall she had resided with either of her daughters and families in Eau Claire. She was at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Jensen, 1530 Sherwin Av., when she passed away last Friday afternoon.
Mrs. Westergaard arrive in Eau Claire from Denmark when a young lady of 19 years. Two years later she married and moved to Owen, where she had resided ever since. Her friendship was cherished by a wife group of friends who have shared her suffering during these past few years. A pioneer resident of the community, she leaves it with nothing but the finest and utmost respect and love of all with whom she had contact with in her daily life, and the church in whose affairs she was always active and sincere.
Surviving her are two sons, Marius of Appleton, Minn., and Ervin of Ingram, Wis., two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Jensen and Mrs. Ben Machlett, Eau Claire; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
One sister and three brothers live in Denmark.

Madsen, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Thorvald Ammentorp, Mrs. Viggo Hansen, Mrs. Jim Hansen, Mrs. Chris Christophersen, Mrs. Helga Knight and Mrs. L. C. Bundgaard.
