Hansen, Alice I. (19 Jan 1896 - 3 May 1945)

Mrs. Alice Isabelle Hansen, 49, of Thorp, Clark County, Wis., passed away Thursday, May 3, 1945, at 3:45 p.m. at the Stanley Hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage.

She was born in the town of Lima, Sheboygan Co., on Jan. 19, 1896, the youngest of nine children. When she was six years old, she came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Wenzel and family to the town of Hixon, Clark County. She was united in marriage to Harry O. Hansen at Owen, Clark County on Feb. 2, 1916. They lived for a time at Maplehurst, Taylor Co., then for seven years in the town of Hixon, then moved to Reseberg, where they now reside.

Surviving are her husband and children: two sons, Clifford and Francis at home and five daughters, Mrs. (Dorothy) Michael Delauskas, Florence and Rosetta at home, Theora and Laura, Chicago; one son-in-law, S/Sgt. Michael Delauskas, serving overseas; two sisters, Mrs. E. W. Lee, Chili, Clark County, and Mrs. P.N. Hansen, Withee; one brother, John E. Wenzel, Owen; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

Services were held Sunday afternoon, May 6th, at 2 o'clock at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Reseberg, Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating. Burial took place at Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Nephews: Wenzel Lee, marion Lee, Elmer Venet, Robert Lee, Milfred Wenzel and Robert Hull.

Flower girls were Dorothy Darge, Mary Ann Pagel, Emily Lato, Geraldine Gulcznski, Orlene Barth, Lorraine Dahm, all of Reseburg School.

Out of town relatives were: Mr. and Mrs. George Doan and children, Lorinda and Carl, Mrs. August Hansen, all of Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hansen of Ruby; Harold Hansen of Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Lee and Son Robert, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Lee and Wenzel Lee, all of Chili; Mr. and Mrs. William Atkin, Mrs. Charles Kangas, Mrs. Harold Atkin, and Mrs. Fred Gaupp and children, Larry and Beverly, all of Nekoosa.
