Fitzmaurice, Mary C. (20 MAR 1864 - 15 JUL 1916)

Mary Caroline Pierce was born near Menomonie, Wis., March 20, 1864. When she was about three years old she moved with her parents into Jackson Co., where she remained until 1879, when she was married to David Fitzmaurice. To this union were born nine children, all of whom are living.

Mr. and Mrs. Fitzmaurice resided near the village of Humbird, Clark County, Wis. until 1910, when they moved to Augusta. In the year 1913 they again moved to Menomonie, where the mother passed away, July 15, 1916. Mrs. Fitzmaurice was a member of the M. E. Church at Menomonie.

The deceased leaves to mourn her death a husband, nine children, five brothers, two sisters and a host of friends.

The remains were brought here from Menomonie Wednesday noon, and services held at the M. E. Church, conducted by Rev. J. K. Peckham, and were attended by a large number of sorrowing relatives and friends. The burial was made in the Mentor Cemetery.
