American Lutheran Church (Meeting - 1972)

The American Lutheran Church women met in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Ralph Ystad presided. Mrs. Richard Braun led devotions. Mrs. George Caliebe gave the stewardship report on coupons and label sent to the Northern Colony at Chippewa Falls and white rages to the Neillsville Hospital.

Mrs. Leonard Johnson reported on the history from 1960 to the present time on the A.L.C.W. organization. Mrs. David Wenger reported on the A.L.C.W. convention held in Eau Claire April 18. It was decided to have the mother-daughter banquet Saturday, May 13. A trip to the Homme home in Wittenberg was discussed. The Rev. David Wenger showed a film, “Before the Cock Crows,” on higher education.

It was announced the Esther Circle will meet May 11 at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Leonard Johnson, and the Naomi Circle will meet that day at the home of Mrs. Lesley Johnson at 1:30 p.m. The May meeting of the Dorcas Circle will be held at the home of Mrs. Kenneth Hium. The worship offering was in charge of Mrs. Harry Johnson. A lunch was served by Mrs. Henry Nielsen, Mrs. Wayne Nielsen and Mrs. Howard Olson.

The next meeting will be held May 25. Hostesses will be Mrs. Daniel Olson, Mrs. Donald Olson and Mrs. Joseph Morien.
