Funeral services for Alden J. Anderson, 73, who died July 16, after a stroke which he suffered on July 3, were held at the Christian Missionary Alliance church at Owen Tuesday afternoon, July 20.  The Rev. Arnold Woodring officiated and at the interment in the Riverside cemetery.

Mr. Anderson was born Aug. 18, 1891.  His early life was spent at DeSoto, Wis., and Red Lodge, Mont.  Of late years, he and his family made their home in the Curtiss, Owen and Withee area where he was engaged in farming, contracting and blacksmithing.

He is survived by his widow, the former Margaret Webster, whom he married Dec. 15, 1915, at Dickinson, N. Dak., six sons and five daughters, one brother and one sister and numerous grand children.

Attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Anderson and son, Neil, Mrs. Adeline Anderson, of Abbotsford, and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Schulta of Schofield.
