Funeral services for Ferdinand Svoboda, Williams Bay, a former town of Frankfort resident, were held Friday, July 16, at St. Thomas Catholic church, Milan.  Burial was made in the St. Thomas parish cemetery.  The Rev. Charles Schumacher officiated.  Funeral arrangements were attended to by the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby.

Pallbearers were Peter Horacek, Ed Kriplean, Dick Goldschmidt, Harold Ruppert, Roland Potts and Herman Podevels.

Mr. Svoboda died Tuesday, July 13, at the age of 91, at the Walworth county home for the aged at Elkhorn.

Ferdinand Svoboda was born on March 28, 1874, in Austria.  He came to this country as a young man and worked in Chicago as a cabinet maker.  He married the former Theresa Uhler at Chicago, and the couple settled on a farm in the town of Frankfort in 1916.  His wife preceded him in death in 1944.  He retired from farming in 1946 and moved to Chicago where he lived with a daughter.  He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic church, Milan.

Surviving him are one son, Harry, of Colby; three daughters, Mrs. Louis (Mildred) Bartos, Williams Bay, Mrs. Harold (Mary) Gumz, Milan, and Mrs. Nick (Elizabeth) Dragl, Delavan; 10 grand children and two great grand children.  He was preceded in death by his wife and seven brothers and sisters.
