------ Andrew, Carol (17 JUL 1965)

After July 25, Eau Claire will be the home of the new Mr. and Mrs. James Quall whose marriage took place Saturday, July 17.

Miss Carol Andrew, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Andrew, route 1, Colby, and James Quall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Quall, Eau Claire, pledged their marriage vows at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Colby.  The Rev. John B. Pinion officiated and the summer choir sang during the one o’clock nuptial mass.

The honor attendants were miss Jean Leichtnam, Colby, a friend, and Gerry Andrew of Spencer, a brother of the bride.  Miss JoAnn Quall, a sister of the groom, and Daniel Neary, a cousin of the groom, both of Eau Claire, were the second couple.  Janice and James Andrew were flower girl and ring bearer.  Galen Fitzel of Colby and Jack Quall of Eau Claire performed the ushering duties.

For her wedding, the bride was attired in a gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta with basque bodice and jewel trimmed scalloped neckline.  All around tiers of lace fashioned the bouffant floor length skirt.  Aurora borealis crystals trimmed the pearl edged lace and taffeta petals which formed the headpiece to which her bouffant veil of illusion was attached.  She carried a colonial bouquet of red roses and white carnations and stephanotis.

Colonial bouquets in matching and white carnations and pompoms were carried by the bridal aids who wore floor length dresses made alike.  Yellow was chosen for the maid of honor and mint green for the bridesmaid.  Matching Bouffant netting and flowers were arranged for their headpieces.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at Cherokee hall and later at the home of the bride’s parents.  A 5 o’clock supper was served at St. Mary’s gymnasium.

About 150 guests attended the wedding day festivities.  They came from Minneapolis, Minn., Naperville, Sugar Grove and Chicago, Ill., Juneau, Marathon, Spencer, Loyal, Medford, Eau Claire, Bloomer, Elk Mound, Chippewa Falls, Green Bay, Marshfield, Jamesville, Fifield, Altoona, Owen, Dorchester, Abbotsford, Spencer and Colby.

The newly married couple left on a honeymoon trip to northern Wisconsin and Canada.

Mrs. Quall, a graduate of the Colby high school, is attending the Accredited School of Beauty Culture in Eau Claire.  Her husband attended Regis high school, Eau Claire, and received his diploma while in the U.S. Marine Corps.  He is employed as a route salesman for Coca Cola Bottling Co., Eau Claire.
