Anderson, Ruth M. (27 APR 1933)

A very pretty wedding took place at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Anderson in (this) village Thursday evening, April 27th, 1933, at 7:00 o’clock, when Mr. Harvey Gotter and Miss Ruth May embarked on the matrimonial sea. Rev. Thomas C. Bennett performed the ceremony in the presence of about thirty relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs., Albert Anderson, the latter a sister of the bride, were the witnesses of record.

The bride is a daughter of Fred May of this village. She was prettily attired in a dress of pale blue lace over the same color satin and carried a bouquet of roses. Ruth graduated from the local high school with the class of 1929. Since the middle of August in 1931 she has been employed with the Prentice News as a reporter. She is an accomplished young lady and well-liked by all who know her.

The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Gotter, former residents of Prentice, but now residing at Loyal, Wis., where he was employed in a garage. He came to Prentice over a year ago and since that time has been employed at the Price County Dairy as head cheesemaker. He is a young man of excellent habits and character.

Following the wedding a sumptuous wedding dinner was served by the bride’s sister, Mrs. Albert Anderson, to the large crowd present, following which the newly weds left by car for a honeymoon trip through the southern part of the state.

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Gotter will make their home in Prentice. The News unites with their many friends in wishing the couple a long and happy voyage through life.
