JOHN G. ZIMMERMAN DIES AT NEILLSVILLE

Heart Attack Fatal to Pioneer Merchant of City

Neillsville, Nov. 7--John G. Zimmerman, pioneer merchant of this city, died from heart trouble at his home early this morning. Death was almost entirely devoid of preliminary warning as Mr. Zimmerman had appeared in excellent health yesterday afternoon when he enjoyed an automoblie ride with his son. He became ill during the night and died about 4 o'clock this morning.

He was born in Grant county, Wisconsin, August 22, 1857, and came to Neillsville in 1901. He purchased an interest in what is now known as the Farmer's Store. In 1912 he acquired the entire business and operated it with his two sons, George and Joseph until 1929, when the present owners acquired it.

Besides his widow a third son, Harry, Mason City, Minn. survives. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending word from the son living at Mason City. Deceased was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Modern Woodman.
