Station agent B. C. Palmer went to Neillsville on Tuesday as a witness in the Doyle forgery matter. C. G. Hass, of Chippewa Falls, is pounding the electric key at the depot this week in consequence.

Miss Etta Carle, of East Troy, Wis., will assist in conducting the Teachers Institute at Neillsville, commencing April 4th. Many teachers have a pleasant remembrance of Miss Carle's work in an institute at Neillsville a few years ago, when she assisted Prof. Thayer. A lecture by Assistant State Supt. Chaudler or Prof. Hutchins will be delivered some time during the week and a good strong Institute is anticipated.

Lawyer Parkhill having received his commission as pension notary from the pension department, is now fully preparing to receive applications for pensions or increase of same. Mr. Parkhill will pay strict attention to this branch of his business and any matter placed in his hands will be promptly attended to.
