Miss Ida Graves, of Trempealeau, Wis., is visiting her sister Mrs. Susie Goff.

The schoolground is Dist. No. 2 is being enclosed by a neat wire fence. Wm. Colby and son are doing the job.

Mrs. B. P. Davis has been quite sick, but is now improving.

Miss Lee commenced teaching in the Brown District last week. This is her second term in that district.

Several of our local padagognes contemplate attending the teachers' institute this fall.

John Marshall has to suspend work on his job of logging for a short time on account of the scarcity of help.

C. C. Clark is engaged in building a piece of turn-pike road between here and Sterling.
