Peckham, Mabel (1 SEP 1897 - 16 JAN 1900)
Died, at the home of her parents in the town of Holeton, Marathon Co., Wis., on Tuesday, Jan. 16th, 1900, Mabel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Peckham, age two years.
Mabel was a sweet child, the pride of her parents, and her sudden death was a severe shock to them. She was taken with convulsions, Monday evening and before daylight, Tuesday morning, she slept that sleep which knows no waking. This seems more sad from the fact that her father was sick and confined to his bed at the time. The bereaved parents certainly have the sympathy of their numerous friends.
The funeral was held from the family residence, Thursday, and the remains were laid to rest in the Dorchester Cemetery, Rev. E. G. Vischer officiating.
