Scheer, Sophia (1876 -19 Jan. 1953)

Loyal - Funeral services for Mrs. John Scheer, 77, Unity, who died Monday, Jan. 19, were held Friday afternoon in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Green Grove. The Rev. Richard Scholz, Spencer officiated and burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers included Donald Schultz, Vern Wittlinger, Reuben Zimmerman, Wayne Scheer, Alan Stange, and Milton Henn, all grandsons of the deceased.

Pearl Wittlinger, Joanee Scheer, Jean Stange, and Bette Henn were in charge of the flowers, and the church choir sang "Rock of Ages," "Abide With Me," and "Nearer My God To Thee," with Mrs. Pearl Woik at the organ.

Out-of-town relatives and friends were from Abbotsford, Spencer, Loyal, Appleton, Stanley, Milwaukee, Eau Claire, and Gilman.
