Thistle, Ellen V. (27 SEP 1899)

Married, at the residence of the bride’s parents in this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), on Wednesday evening, Sept. 27th, 1899, by Rev. Jos. Dix, Mr. George E. Coon, and Miss Ellen Viola Thistle, both of this city.

Mr. Coon came to this city about one year ago and took charge of this section until late last spring when he went to Stanley to take charge of the gang laying steel on the Chippewa branch, but continued to make headquarters in this city He has a large number of friends, all of whom wish him well.

The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Thistle and has lived in this city from childhood. She has always been a quiet, ladylike girl and has lots of friends among the young people, and the older ones as well, all of whom will wish the young couple a long, happy and prosperous life.
