Wigstadt, Andrew (15 FEB 1888 - 2 DEC 1910)

Andrew Wigstadt was killed by drowning at Kimball, Wis., last Friday morning at about 6:30 o'clock in the morning. He was working as head trimmer and went down to empty pocket. As he opened the pocket some trimmings struck him on the temple and he fell backwards into the well. The well was 28 feet deep with 6 feet of water. It is supposed that he was rendered senseless by the fall and so drowned when he struck the water. He was 22 years, 9 months old at the time of his death, being born on Feb. 15, 1888. He leaves to mourn his death a father, five sisters and five brothers.

The remains were brought here (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.) for burial Friday night, the funeral being held from the Little White Church Sunday afternoon. The Herald joins with the entire community in extending sympathy to the sorrowing family.
