Schwenn, Karl C. (7 DEC 1989 - 5 DEC 2005)

Karl C. Schwenn, 15, town of Mead, died on Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, as a result of a house fire. Funeral services were held at 7 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 10, in the Greenwood High School gymnasium. The Rev. Tom Gonzalez of the Community Alliance Church, Withee, officiated.

Karl Curtis Schwenn was born on Dec. 7, 1989, in Burlington, to Curtis and Lisa (nee Summers) Schwenn. The family lived in Kenosha and he attended the Somers Elementary School and the Bullen Junior High School. In 2002, he moved to the Greenwood area and attended Greenwood High School. He was an avid basketball player and loved to hunt and fish. He had a great musical talent and played the trombone, flute and bassoon. He loved to read, play soccer, play flag football and enjoyed visiting the library and playing on the computer.

He will sadly be missed by his parents, Curtis Schwenn, Greenwood and Lisa (Kenneth) Edwards, Elizabethtown, Ky.; his big brother, Keith Schwenn, Greenwood; his maternal grandmother, Shirley (Bobby) Wade, Radcliffe, Ky.; many aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Gerald and Phyllis (nee Wickman) Schwenn; and his paternal grandfather, Larry Allen Sommers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name are appreciated.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, assisted the family with arrangements.
