Rupnow, Gloria J. (24 March 1940 - 4 Dec. 2005)

Gloria J Rupnow, age 65, of Humbird died Sunday, December 4, 2005, at her residence.

She was born March 24, 1940, in Black River Falls to parents, Lloyd and Genevieve (Casper) Larson. Since the age of four, she was raised by Claude and Violet Winson of Merrillan.

Gloria graduated from Alma Center High School. She married Charles F Rupnow July 13, 1958, in Humbird. He preceded her in death May 29, 2005.

Gloria’s favorite pastimes included reading, doing crossword puzzles, cooking and baking. She greatly enjoyed spending time with friends and family and traveling regionally.

Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia (Bruce) Walter and Kay (Larry) Austad, of Humbird; two foster brothers, Chris (Myrna) Winson and Dan (Doreen) Winson of Merrillan; two sisters, Jeanette of Camp Douglas and Joyce of Stevens Point; one foster sister, Kathie (Jim) Heath of Merrillan; one granddaughter, April (Kit) Walikonis of Alma Center.

Preceding her in death besides her husband, Charles, were her parents and foster parents.

Funeral services for Gloria J Rupnow will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday Dec. 8, 2005, at the United Methodist Church, Merrillan, with Rev. Meg Erickson officiating. Burial will take place in Mentor Cemetery, rural Humbird.

Friends may call at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and at the church one hour prior to services.

Casket bearers will be Daniel, D. J., and Matt Collum, Dennis Gjerseth, Steve Green and Devin Lunderville.
