Clark County - Nine Men of County Enter Armed Forces (2 Nov. 1959)

Neillsville-Two Clark County men have enlisted in the armed forces, and seven others have been inducted into the Army, according to Mrs. Mardene Chase, clerk of the local selective service office.

Kenneth L. Green, Humbird, enlisted in the Air Force and entered on active duty Oct. 22. Leslie R. Conklin, route 3, Thorp, enlisted in the Marine Corps and entered on active duty Oct. 21.

The following Clark County men were inducted into the Army at Minneapolis, Minn.; Otto L. Becker Jr., and Robert H. Cieslek, Owen; Gerald F. Dietsche, Spencer; Jerome H. Kasper, Unity; and Ronald B Froeba, Wayne W. Demuth and Elgin D. Roehl, all of route 2, Loyal.

From Minneapolis the group continued to Ft. Carson, Colo., for basic training.
