Rosin, Carl E. (3 MAR 1847 - 17 SEP 1907)

Died, at his residence, Tuesday noon, Sept. 17th, 1907, of a complication of diseases, Mr. Carl Ernst Rosin, aged 60 years, 7 months and 14 days.

Deceased was born in Schlavia near Techlip, in the Province of Pomerania, Germany, March 3rd, 1847; he was educated near there. In 1870 he came to America, first stopping in Michigan, then came to Milwaukee, later settling in Lowell, Dodge Co., where he opened a wagon shop. In the year of 1873 he was united in marriage to Mary Miller of Lowell. In March 1881 he removed to Colby, Clark Co., Wis., and settled on the farm joining the city, where he resided up to the time of his death. He was the father of eight children, seven daughters and one son, six of whom, Mrs. H.M. Nedry of Dorchester, Mrs. J.F. Konecny, town of Holeton, Anna, Edna, Esther and Hortense at home, survive him, and with the widow mourn the loss of a kind and loving father and husband.

The entire community will join the Phonograph in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.

The funeral will be held from the M.E. Church this Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Marks of Dorchester, Wis. Interment at Colby Cemetery.
