Ben Lockwood, who is employed in a heading mill at Sherry, spent Christmas with his family here.

Nye, Lusk & Hudson are presenting their customers in the lumber line with a neat calendar for 1894.

Frank Fults has been a severe sufferer with pneumonia for the past two weeks but is now recovering.

Mrs. Martin Richeleu, of Greenwood, is spending a few days with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Steele.

The Christmas trees at the Baptist and M. E. Churches were greatly enjoyed by all, the children especially.

Mrs. E. J. Fear of Augusta is spending the holidays with her daughter, Mrs. W. R. McCutcheon and family.

This vicinity experienced a heavy and steady rain storm on Saturday and Sunday last which improves the roads greatly.

Rev. J. B. Bachman has gone to Medford where he had been invited to speak at a campfire being held there by the G.A.R. post of that place.

The scholars in each department of the schools presented their teachers with several presents each on Friday last. Principal A. O. Rhea's present being a handsome willow rocker.
